ABOUT THE LOCAL FOOD TRADE SHOW
Join the Sustainable Business Network of Massachusetts for the third Local Food Trade Show connecting wholesale buyers and producers of local food on March 4, 2014, 8:30am -1:30pm at Northeastern University, Curry Student Center, 346 Huntington Ave, Boston, MA. The 2014 Local Food Trade Show is designed to facilitate connections and stimulate wholesale business relationships between buyers and producers of local food, with a focus on specialty crop food products in Massachusetts. Participants will include restaurants, retailers, school systems, health care institutions, local food growers and producers from throughout New England who are interested in joining the growing trend of sourcing locally.
This event is sponsored by Northeastern University and the Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MassGrown). SBN is partnering with the Northwest Atlantic Marine Alliance (NAMA) and Health Care Without Harm. Local Food Trade Show will include open floor trading as well as a Seminar Series addressing best practices around some of the most pressing barriers to specialty crop sales in Massachusetts as identified at our previous Trade Shows. Topics will include volume/aggregation, certification/liability, and cost. This event is an opportunity to grow new business relationships, find new ways to source and produce locally, and network with those in the community. Registration is now open for local food producers and wholesale buyers. For more information and to register for this year’s event, visit SBN’s trade show webpage atbostonlocalfood.org.
